Defence and Security Analyst Professor Michael Clarke says that Russian forces are “pinned in place” in the besieged city of Severodonetsk.

He says that the Russians are obsessed with the city over its “symbolic” importance, so Ukrainian forces are taking advantage of that and continuing the battle to protect two key cities further west.
