World Cup triggers surprise growth in UK economy

New figures suggest the UK economy has not slipped into recession.

Data from the Office for National Statistics shows the economy grew by 0.1% in November, partly aided by the football World Cup.

Economists had predicted a negative growth figure – of around 0.2%.
