Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal is under police investigation over a postgame incident last week with a fan in Orlando, according to police documents obtained by ESPN.

The Orlando Police Department is investigating Beal for battery but has not filed charges as of Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred near the visiting players’ tunnel at Orlando’s Amway Center last Tuesday after the Wizards’ loss to the Magic.

According to a case report from the Orlando Police Department, a group of fans approached the exiting Wizards players near the tunnel, where one of them accused Beal of contributing to his losing bet on the game, yelling: “You made me lose $1,300 you f—.”

Beal, in response to the heckling, approached the group and allegedly swatted another fan’s hat off his head and “made contact” with the man’s head, according to the police report.

The fan told Beal that he did not make the initial comment about the lost bet before the two got into a “verbal argument,” according to the police report.
