A delivery driver fatally shot a TV star’s dog while dropping off groceries.

Angie Harmon – known for her appearances in Law & Order and Rizzoli & Isles – says her family is “devastated”.

On Instagram, she wrote: “He got out of his car, delivered the food & THEN shot our dog.

“Our [Ring] camera was charging in the house, which he saw & then knew he wasn’t being recorded.

“The police let him go b/c he claimed ‘self defense’. He did not have a scratch or bite on him nor were his pants torn.”

Harmon went on to claim that the delivery driver was nonchalant after the shooting.

Officers in North Carolina confirmed elements of her story – but say no arrests have been made and no charges have been recommended.

The driver, who worked for Instacart, told police that the dog had attacked him on Saturday morning.

Instacart said the driver has now been suspended – and it has reached out to Harmon’s family.

In a statement, the company added: “We were deeply saddened and disturbed to hear about this incident. We have no tolerance for violence of any kind.”

Harmon’s dog, Oliver, was a German shepherd.
